FRONT SPRINGS LABELLED '21' AT THE END
REAR SPRINGS LABELLED '22' AT THE END
PLATE WITH SMALL THREADED HOLE IS FOR THE FRONT
PLATE WITH LARGE HOLE IS FOR THE REAR
These coil spring conversion kits have progressive rated springs and are purposely manufactured for the mini for a more comfortable and predictable ride especially on 13" wheels. Taking the harshness out of the ride that the old rubber cones gave. Taking your suspension into the 21st century. These springs come in 3 different ratings, Standard, Hard or soft.
The full kit comprises of coil spring conversions of your choice, ride height adjustables and knuckle joints, or you can simply have the coil spring conversions on their own as a set of 4 or maybe just front or rear.
The hard ride which are the red springs will give a 10% harder ride than the standard ones.
Our springs are NOT cheap copies. We use high grade steel for these coil springs which are made in Sheffield.
Note: We recommend the use of our adjustable ride heights with our coil conversions - A lesser quality ride height adjuster may have slacker threads resulting in self adjustment.
These are the leading tried and tested coil springs. Our springs are probably the best springs on the market, with 4 location plates for the Hi los (adjusta rides) which are essential. Please beware of other places which do flimsy plates that are not up to the job.
A lot of our products are tested on cars in our showroom. Come up to our showroom to see these fitted
Beware of cheap copies of our product.
Mini Magazine did a step by step guide on how to fit these, so check our Technical Info page for details.

Hard Coil Spring Conversion
Brilliant upgrade from the rubber cones! Don’t read the forums these things are great. Super easy to fit and with the Hilos and new shocks they give a perfect ride, especially on UK roads where 10” wheels and pot holes normally equal bad times . Will out live the cones by miles and let’s face it, if cones were so good why has every other car got springs now.

Worthwhile upgrade to Mini sispension.
Would have given it 5 stars if ther had been any simple instructions included in the kit. The price was good compared with Mini Spares and the quality seems excellent however one of the adapter plates was obviously not new but certainly serviceable. I went for the red harder springs as I use my mini for track days. The ride is a bit softer than the rubber donuts but still seems to be nice and firm without being bone shaking. The absence of instructions meant that I didn't realise that the front and back springs have a different design of adapter ring. The front ones need to be installed using a spring compressor and therefore need to have the threaded hole in the middle. I didn't realise this and initially put one with the threaded hole at the back. I also had to puzzle over exactly which way round the spring and seat went when a simple photo or drawing would have made it clear. I am no dummy when it comes to car mechanics but was a bit irritated that I was left to work it all out for myself. I used my existing non-genuine Hi-Lows (Huddelsfield spares do suggest you use theirs which may be different) and found that I needed to set them to the lowest possible setting otherwise the car sat too high. There does seem to have been some settling after driving over a few bumps so I may need to raise them a bit in due course. Again the abcence of any instructions to suggest what to expect was dissapointing. Overall very happy with the conversion as it gives a more comfortable yet firm ride on the road. I can't wait to try it on a track. Please include some simple instructions in future kits.

superb engineering
the coil springs and machined adaptor plates are superbly machined, engineered and finished. I cant wait to fit them in my newly painted subframe with the chrome polished hi/lo's. highly recommended. they were also well packaged and arrived very quickly. i will definitely use huddersfield mini spares again.
